The Miami Hurricanes are off to a 3-0 start under second-year head coach Mario Cristobal. The Canes currently have 22 verbal commitments to their 2023 class with one five-star, seven four-stars, and 13 three-star players and looking to add more.

Quotes from Miami Hurricane prospects after game-day visits at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens (Fla.).

PLAYER QUOTES

QB Judd Anderson – Jones County (Gray, Ga.) – 2024 Miami commit

“Yeah man I loved it. It was an awesome atmosphere and I’m glad I was there to experience it! A lot of the guys enjoyed just to be able to see the progress from last year; it was really good for those recruits to see!”

QB Noah Grubbs – Lake Mary (Lake Mary, Fla.) – 2026 prospect

“It was amazing to get to experience the environment of the stadium and how they took care of me before the game. That place was rocking and watching coach (Shannon) Dawson’s offense, it really excited me because Tyler Van Dyke has similar attributes as myself having a big arm, accurate, and staying in the pocket. Any QB would be blessed to have coach Dawson lead them on Saturdays!

“To top it off, Miami pulled off the upset (vs. A&M) and I was able to go into the locker room and experience the victory with the team.”

QB Dia Bell – American Heritage (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) – 2026 prospect

“The game day atmosphere at Hard Rock was electric! The Canes were playing like they had something to prove. The recruits could feel it. I love coach Dawson’s offense!”

CB Chris Ewald Jr. – Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Hollywood, Fla.) – 2925 Michigan commit

“The Canes secondary is playing at a high level and I’m loving it. I love the how they play the combination of zone and the man they are playing.”

OT Kavion Broussard – Zachary (Zachary, La.) – 2024 Miami commit

“It was better than all the college games I went to, and the atmosphere was amazing.”

WR Koby Howard – Western (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) – 2025 prospect

“Yes sir… I’m glad I got the chance to see it live. It was really good to experience the coming out party! The Canes started slow but picked it up in the second quarter. The way Tyler kept chucking the ball down the field let me know Miami is on its way back.

“I know it’s just one game, but if they keep playing like that, they should have this program turned around in no time which would be just in time for a player like me in the 2025 class. How they play this season will have a big effect on my top schools of choice.”

TE Tayvion Galloway – Pickerington Central (Pickerington, Ohio) – 2024 prospect

“Hard Rock was shaking! I’ll be back next month; and go Canes.”

CB Greg “Zae” Thomas – American Heritage – 2025 prospect

“I’m so excited for Miami’s season. The way they played against Texas A&M was impressive, and I would like to see them continue that through the remainder of the season.”
